DO I NEED TO KNOW ANY MATH OR UNDERSTAND ECONOMICS TO PARTICIPATE?
Hell no! If you are smart enough to run your business, you’ve got all the brains you need to participate in this community. In the FED, we are going to learn new concepts and grow our economic literacy, together. All you need is a passion for learning. The self-directed format means that you will explore the concepts that fascinate YOU. Dying to read Marx? Read Marx! Wanting to delve into contemporary theories by feminist economists? Go for it! Ready to build some sophisticated spreadsheets? Right on! Want to structure nap time into your workday? Do it. We just ask that you share your explorations with the group so that we can learn from each other.
I'M INTERESTED IN THIS COMMUNITY BUT I'M A NORMAL HUMAN WITH SOME STUFF GOING ON (LIFE/WORK/KIDS/HOLIDAYS). WHAT DAYS/TIMES OF THE WEEK DOES THIS HAPPEN?
We like to set our own hours too! This community is housed on Mighty Network which is like a private Facebook group (but not on FB!). So, you can check in anytime. There's even an app you can load on your phone if you prefer mobile. Please note that while some of the content can be downloaded, most of the content requires an active internet connection to view.
We monitor the community to make sure it's humming Monday through Friday and leave you to monitor yourselves over the weekend.
There are weekly live video sessions. These take place on Zoom.us. If you can't attend, don't worry! We record the videos and post them online within 24 hours for you to view. Every other week, we host a Hydration Happy Hour on Thursday afternoons for water cooler discussions about the week's community topics. On the alternating weeks, we offer the Nourish! lunch hour with an embodiment activity, guest speaker, or specific focus.

WHAT KIND OF INVOLVEMENT/SUPPORT DOES SISTER PROVIDE?
We take responsibility for the overall health of the community, providing the content and facilitation needed to keep the group focused and constructive. We create weekly posts, pose questions, share resources, set the monthly themes, host the video events, and monitor the discussion threads to ensure our community guidelines are enforced. We are not experts here, we are guides and guardians of the space, learning alongside you.
Please note: Sister/Jenn does not offer one-on-one support, feedback or advice via email, private message, or phone to FED members. If you need help or want to engage more deeply with a subject, we ask you to post your question online or pose it in a video class so that we can explore it together, as a group. If you’d like to work in-depth with particular issues concerning your business, please consider Embodied Business Consulting for personalized attention.
I WANT TO SHARE MY MEMBERSHIP WITH MY BUSINESS/LIFE PARTNER/TEAM. IS THAT OKAY?
All prices are per person, not per business (or marriage, partnership, etc). If you have registered with the intention of sharing with someone who is not enrolled, they will need to pay the full membership fee in order to access the community or use any of the copyrighted materials. Any accounts that are shared or logged into by users other than the enrolled participant will be terminated without refund.
I DON'T HAVE A BUSINESS, I JUST HAVE AN IDEA. IS THIS COMMUNITY RIGHT FOR ME?
This community is for entrepreneurs who have been in business at least 3 years. If you are interested in feminist entrepreneurship but are not yet in-business, or if your business is still a hobby or side-hustle (meaning, you have a day job), please join us in Concepts & Conception instead.
I'M NOT A FULL-TIME ENTREPRENEUR AND DON'T PLAN ON BECOMING ONE, BUT I'M REALLY INTERESTED IN THESE IDEAS. CAN I JOIN YOU?
We are providing a valuable community for those engaged with the challenging work of entrepreneurship. It is not appropriate for intrapraneurs, those with a side business/hobby enterprise, nor those with primarily an intellectual interest in the material (academics, press, writers, researchers).
DO YOU OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS?
Scholarships for this community are dependent on our membership numbers. If/when we reach 24 paid participants, we will be able to offer four 50% scholarships. If you'd like to be placed on the scholarship notification list, please email us and we will contact you if we reach our target and are able to offer financial support.
