We are thrilled to be hosting our first Radical Retreat. We’re hiring temporary event staff to help us in making it the best feminist business retreat ever.

RETREAT CONCIERGE

You are the guru of helpfulness and Slack is your Queendom! As concierge, your will be (wo)manning the retreaters’ Slack channel, enlivening the online conversations, and answering any attendee questions that arise there. You will also help the Sister staff and the event coordinator get timely news and updates to attendees throughout the retreat (things like schedule changes, last minute notifications, Zoom link updates, and ushering people to the right virtual room).

You will monitor the Slack chat room for compliance with our Communication Guidelines and keep the discussion lively and engaging while the event sessions are underway. You use your excellent communication skills, natural enthusiasm, and calm-under-pressure to make the online community a safe and valuable place for retreaters to connect. You will be working in coordination with our tiny team to ensure that our attendees stay relaxed, engaged, and enthused.

This position is perfect for a helpful people-person who enjoys being a conversation starter, cheerleader, communicator and guide. Applicants should be self-reliant problem solvers who pride themselves on being helpful, resourceful, and cheerful under pressure.

You are a customer service pro, highly proficient with: Slack, email, texting, and Zoom. You must have a reliable computer, stable internet, and good cell phone. The retreat takes place online May 4th, 5th & 6th. You must be available all day on these days as well as for training and onboarding the week beforehand. We will give you your finalized schedule before the retreat. You will be retreaters’ #1 go-to while the retreat is underway so this role is not for you if you like to work while driving, running, tv-watching, making dinner, game playing, and so on.
