HOW IS THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD CALCULATED?

To develop our sliding scale scholarship, we cross-referenced the Federal Poverty Guidelines with the median income in California (where we live) and discovered that the average person in the Golden State makes 500% of the Federal Poverty Level. This is also the income qualification level for subsidized health care in our state. So, we used it as the qualifier for tuition support. If you make an above-average income, you do not qualify.

To calculate the scholarship award, we developed a progressive model, meaning, as your income bracket decreases, so does the percentage of one year’s income you are asked to pay. We then add a $50 registration fee to the calculated price cover our fixed costs.

We are not statisticians but we have done our best to develop a working model that acknowledges the reality of income disparity, while still treating this course as a business investment. We assume our model will be improved on over time as we develop experience working with it.

I DON’T QUALIFY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP. DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes! We offer 3, 6, or 9-month installment plans. Pay as little as $300 per month. If you choose the installment plan, you will pay an additional $50 administrative fee, bringing your tuition cost to $2800. Select your chosen plan at the bottom of the the C&C page.
